Literacy Connection Honors Learners and Tutors | SLO Review

In 2025, more than 80 volunteer tutors from The Literacy Connection, a program of SLO County Public Libraries, have helped 184 local adult learners improve their reading, writing and English language skills. Volunteers Laysha Ostrow, Cathy Fields, Melanie Popovich, and John Verdi were singled out as having donated the most number of hours tutoring.
